This 310 Special Project performed the following activities: (1) reviewed 10 years of Pennsylvania's materials funded under Section 310 of the Adult Education Act and published six "FOCUS on Curriculum" bulletins describing outstanding projects; and (2) prepared a 1985 addendum to Pennsylvania's listing of publishers' materials for adult education. Products created include this final report; six FOCUS bulletins featuring exemplary Pennsylvania 310 Special Projects in the areas of competency-based adult education (CBAE), English as a Second Language (ESL), employment, literacy, media and technology, and special populations; and a resource listing made up of 36 exemplary 310 projects reviewed in FOCUS plus 121 resources published since 1980 in the areas of basic reading, ESL, adult basic education, CBAE, pre-General Educational Development tests and General Educational Development tests. (The listing of 36 projects and the 121 publisher resources are included in this document.) Each entry in the project listing includes title, subject area and sub-area, project director, year, organization, contact person, audience, panel review ratings, component products, cost, and description. In the publisher section each entry includes title, publication data, audience, publisher, price, pages, suggested usage, author, subject area and sub-area, usefulness for self-directed or instructor-directed learning, component products, reading level, special features, adult performance, level areas, ISBN number, source, and description.
