The second phase of an analysis of the National Network for Curriculum Coordination in Vocational and Technical Education focused on the impacts of six regional centers on vocational educators. Another concern was the Network's overall contribution to curriculum-related activities and initiatives in vocational education. Specific issues were the impacts the Centers have had on their users, the nature and effects of relationships developed between the Network and other organizations involved in vocational education, and factors that have affected program impacts. These issues were investigated through various data collection activities, including case studies of the Curriculum Coordination Centers, participation in regional meetings, visits to other organizations involved in vocational education, and telephone interviews with vocational educators. Data indicated that the major purpose of the Network--to create a resource through which curriculum materials and resources would be readily available to practitioners--has been accomplished. The ready availability of materials resulted in savings of time and money to states in curriculum-related activities and reduced duplication of effort in curriculum-development efforts. The Federal investment in the program leveraged a considerable amount of state support. Recommendations were made in these areas: curriculum evaluation, outreach, impact reporting, and emerging technologies. Some data are appended. (YLB)
