This document provides teachers and school officials with information about the learning resources identified as "problematic" or "unacceptable," for the purpose of developing tolerance and understanding of different social or cultural groups. Forty-two publications are reviewed in the categories of health, home economics, industrial education, language arts, physical education, social sciences, and social studies. Each review contains title, publisher, authorized status at time of audit, publication date, audit rating, rationale for rating, examples of problems, departmental action, and remarks and suggestions for overcoming deficiencies.
