In spring-summer 1984, a survey was conducted to determine the current activities of 1983 graduates of Mercer County Community College (MCCC). Surveys were mailed to 759 graduates, requesting information on educational objectives, ratings of college services, transfer experiences, employment, and personal characteristics. Study findings, based on a 49% response rate, included the following: (1) the graduates appeared to be satisfied with their educational experiences at MCCC, with a full 96% saying they would recommend MCCC to prospective students; (2) 87% of the respondents reported that they were employed, with 77% of the working graduates employed in positions related to their programs of study at MCCC and 68% employed in Mercer County; (3) 42% have continued their education in other degree-granting programs; (4) in comparison to the class of 1982, a larger percentage of the class of 1983 were employed, while almost the same percentage were continuing their education; (5) 29% of the respondents were both employed and continuing their education; (6) comments on improving courses and services offered at MCCC were made by 48% of the 1983 graduates, with the majority focusing on advising, special services for part-time students, faculty, and course offerings.
