Standards for Quality Vocational Home Economics Education Programs in Iowa.

This publication contains nine standards developed for vocational home economics programs in Iowa. The first part of the document is an introduction that describes the development of the standards, sets forth the goal of vocational education, defines and sets the goal of home economics, outlines the purposes, characteristics, and topics of the standards, and explains, with an example, how to use the standards. The second section of the guide contains the standards for staff, curriculum, evaluation, teaching, advisory committees, vocational student organizations, facilities and equipment, funding and financing, and staff development of vocational home economics programs in the state. Indicators that standards have been met are shown. The final section of the guide is a glossary of terms used in the standards. (KC)
