This annotated list of resources for teaching about China is designed for elementary and secondary teachers, but would be useful for anyone interested in gaining a general perspective on China. Resources are presented in the following categories: (1) curriculum and media guides, (2) periodicals and newsletters, (3) professional development, (4) travel opportunities, (5) selected units and student materials for the elementary and secondary levels, (6) audiovisual materials for loan, (7) source materials presenting the Chinese perspective, (8) news and Chinese periodicals in English, and (9) background readings. Also included are listings of suppliers who provide free catalogs; the East Asian Resource Centers located on university campuses which provide resources and services beyond their campus; and other resource centers, such as the Asia Society, the embassy of the People's Republic of China, and the China Information Society.
