A Successful Program to Improve Student Performance.
Turnbaugh, Roy C.
This paper describes and reports results of a program aimed at improving performance of all students, K-12, through a program of sequenced objectives monitored with criterion-referenced tests. Target curriculum areas were mathematics, reading, and language skills. Nationally normed achievement tests were administered in a base year and each year thereafter. Over a 5-year period students registered a gain of a full year in each of the three curriculum areas. A 10-item reference list, several tables and graphs, and an addendum giving achievement test scores for a sixth year are provided. (Author/DCS)
