This module, one in a series of performance-based teacher education learning packages, focuses on a specific skill that vocational educators need to be successful in the area of instructional execution. The purpose of the module is to give the teacher understanding of the characteristics of and techniques involved in effective oral questioning and to help the teacher develop skill in employing oral questioning techniques. Introductory material provides terminal and enabling objectives, prerequisites, a list of resources, and general information. The main portion of the module includes three learning experiences based on the enabling objectives. Each learning experience presents activities with information sheets, checklists, and self-checks. Optional activities are provided. Completion of these three learning experiences should lead to achievement of the terminal objective through the fourth and final learning experience that provides for a teacher assessment by a resource person.
