One of seven multicultural, nonsexist activity guides related to language arts, this guide offers a variety of teacher-developed activities for instruction in oral language and oral expression. The activities, which are presented in ascending order of grade level from kindergarten through sixth grade, are designed to develop oral language skills and oral expresson skills while exploring themes related to multicultural awareness, ethnic stereotypes, sex roles, and sex stereotypes. Listed for each activity are: skill area (usually oral language or oral expression), grade level, group size, time allotment, objective/purpose, materials needed, description of activity, directions, and evaluation.
