This resource guide offers descriptions of community resources, field trips, human resources, and resource materials available to teachers and parents in New York City. The resources, covering a wide variety of curriculum areas, are listed separately by borough (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island). Manhattan is further divided into four geographical areas. Each description includes the resource type (community resources, field trips, human resources, or resource materials), general information, curriculum areas, and target groups. Also included is miscellaneous information such as educational services and materials provided, costs, and hours of operation. A curriculum area index is provided for each resource type. The curriculum areas most often listed are social studies, art, and special education. (DC)
