This report describes the research, development, field testing, and evaluation of a training program designed to help vocational education personnel serve handicapped students. The report details accomplishments including (1) results of interviews with vocational teachers and administrators; (2) overviews of the six slide/tape modules, examination of the participant's workbook and the leader's guide; (3) discussion of the pilot testing; and (4) results of an evaluation of the program. A list of potential uses cites inservice assistance by local administrators for vocational personnel, inservice activities for special education personnel, preservice instruction at the university level, inservice for administrators, preparation for parents, and training for support agency and postsecondary personnel. Module topics are mainstreaming, educators' roles and responsibilities, vocational teachers' assessment responsibilities, the ARD/IEP process, handicapping conditions, and choosing teaching techniques.
