St. Louis Community College at Forest Park 1980-81 Graduate Follow-Up Survey.

Information is provided from a follow-up study of 1980-81 graduates of St. Louis Community College at Forest Park, which was conducted to determine their educational and employment status and views of the college and its programs. Introductory material outlines the purpose, procedure, and scope of the study, and provides the survey instrument and cover letter. Next, the report presents data, based on responses from 71% of the 633 graduates surveyed, on the employment and educational status of graduates by college program; response rates by program; relationship of employment to Forest Park program; average comparative salaries by program; methods by which graduates obtained employment; number of graduates desiring placement assistance; proportion of graduates continuing their education, their reasons for continuing, and the college attended; and student evaluation of college programs and services. Where available, data obtained from previous studies are compared with 1980-81 findings. Then, an employment and educational analysis is presented for 26 career programs, 14 certificate programs, and 8 college-parallel programs, which includes information on employers hiring graduates, jobs held by graduates, transfer institutions, and graduates' major field of study. Finally, respondents' comments and advice for current students are presented. (HB)
