Following instructions provided in the teacher's manual, the SCOPE Mathematics Achievement Test booklet for grades K-1 presents 11 mathematical concepts. Testing items include: building appropriate sets; matching equivalent sets; reproducing a given pattern; selecting and/or making an object that is bigger than or smaller than a given object; counting the number of objects in a set of 10; using ordinals to fifth; forming the numerals; finding the number before or after a given number from 0 to 10; finding a number between two given numbers from 0 to 10; stating basic facts involving sums and minuends to 9; identifying and naming coins; estimating and measuring using non-standard and standard units; recognizing and naming triangle, rectangle, square, and circle; and telling time to the hour.
