Teacher's Guide, Minimum Performance Test, 1981-82. Arkansas Educational Assessment Program.
Holmes, Morris; And Others
The Arkansas Educational Assessment Program (AEAP) was initiated in 1979 when the Arkansas legislature passed Act 666, the Education Assessment Act. AEAP provides meaningful data on student achievements to educators, legislators, parents and citizens on the status and progress of Arkansas basic skills education. This information assists schools in planning educational programs and identifying educational needs. The 1981 AEAP Teacher's Guide was developed to help local school district staff interpret and use the data from the Arkansas Educational Assessment Program. This teacher's guide will be of particular value to school principals, teachers and others who want to understand and use the assessment test. The 1981-82 Arkansas Educational Assessment Program included criterion referenced tests in reading and mathematics at third, sixth and eighth grades. This teacher's guide is devoted to helping the reader interpret the third, sixth and eighth grade tests. The teacher's guidebook includes an explanation of the learning areas assessed (section 2), guidelines for interpreting AEAP test results (section 3), and objectives tested with examples of test items (section 4).
