The Circulatory System [and] Instructor's Guide: The Circulatory System. Health Occupations Education Module: Instructional Materials in Anatomy and Physiology for Pennsylvania Health Occupations Programs.

This module on the circulatory system is one of 17 modules designed for individualized instruction in health occupations education programs at both the secondary and postsecondary levels. It is part of an eight-unit subset on anatomy and physiology within the set of 17 modules. Following a preface which explains to the student how to use the module, the unit consists of a pretest witn answers, five sections (information sheets) with their goals (e.g., identify the components of blood), optional activities (e.g., use a stethoscope to listen to heart sounds and identify which valves are making which sounds), posttests, and a glossary of terms. Topics covered in the unit are an introduction to the circulatory system, the blood, the heart, blood vessels, and the lymphatic system. An accompanying instructor's guide contains suggestions for using the module and answers to the posttest. (KC)
