Published by the Office for Families (OFF) and intended for use by parents, educators, and social workers, this publication includes a collection of abstracts covering a broad range of issues concerning children and social services. Each abstract was selected on the basis of information which would best serve the interests of parents and professionals working with families, and was classified under one of 11 areas. These areas are family and child care; foster care and adoption; parenting and parent education; problems and special needs; child abuse and neglect; legal issues; approaches to counseling; social services and delivery components; social welfare and social welfare administration; program development and evaluation; and resource and training.
