Evaluation of the High School for the Health Professions, 1979-80.
Maples, Wayne; Scott, Allen W.
The High School for the Health Professions (HSHP) is one of six Dallas Independent School District magnet schools. Its purpose is twofold: to effect an appropriate balance among ethnic groups through voluntary participation of students and to integrate health career preparation with a traditional high school education. The purpose of this evaluation was to collect and disseminate program information to the management as an aid for decision-making. It addressed the environment of the HSHP, the characteristics and scope of the instructional program, student participation in community-related experiences, and student attitudes and achievement.
