Twenty elementary and secondary teachers participated in workshops designed to present the rationale and process for identifying and effectively teaching parenting skills. Selected classroom experiences are described and analyzed by the teachers, and the grade level, curriculum, school, instructor and life skill involved are given. The skills were in: (1) thinking, problem solving, and decision making; (2) positive interpersonal relationships; (3) the use of freedom and responsibility; (4) receiving and expressing love; (5) leadership and followership; (6) personal and family economics; (7) responding to natural growth and development; and (8) communication.
