Teacher Burnout.
Miller, Sheryl L.
This study reviewed journal literature on aspects of teacher stress and burnout, the causes of these problems, and what coping or preventive measures could be used to alleviate them. The annotated bibliography is organized into three sections. In section one, symptoms of teacher stress and burnout are explored. Section two covers causes of stress and burnout, while section three deals with coping and preventive measures. In a concluding statement, it is noted that, since stress affects each individual differently, no one specific coping method can be suggested. Many of the articles suggested further research into the causes and widespread effects of teacher burnout. (JD)
