Washington Community Colleges Factbook.
Meier, Terre
The 109 tables and graphs in this six-chapter factbook present a statistical profile of the Washington Community College System for Fall 1979. Chapter I presents background information on the history and organization of the 27 state-supported colleges. Chapter II outlines data on annual and quarterly enrollments from 1969 through 1979; student educational intent; enrollments by institutional intent and funding sources; student demographics (including age, sex, ethnic background, residency status, veterans status, and credit-hour load); student costs and financial aid; standard student budget; and required tuition fees. Chapter III provides program information, focusing on trends in instructional effort in vocational and academic programs; vocational offerings at each district; and, for the years 1975 through 1979, a delineation of the numbers of high school completion certificates and associate degrees awarded, the number of students transferring to and from the colleges, and the placement of vocational students. Chapter IV details the number and characteristics of staff at the colleges, faculty and staff by assignment area, and salary averages. Chapter V summarizes the sources of college funds, college expenditures among and within various program and administrative areas during 1979, and 1979 costs per state-funded enrollment. Chapter VI deals with facilities, construction, appropriation of capital funds, and equipment purchases. (JP)
