Using a simplified vocabulary and shorter sentences, it provides statistics concerning accidental poisonings; a list of the places poisons are usually found in the home; steps to make the home safe for children, adolescents, and adults; suggestions for the use and storage of medicines; lists of dangerous products that are not always thought of as poisonous; and an explanation of what to do if someone is poisoned.
