This review of the literature on individualized instruction entered in the ERIC system between November 1978 and October 1979 covers the development and sharing of individualized learning modules and systems; mastery learning; applications of television to individualized instruction; descriptive and research reports on individualized instruction-learning; assistance for teachers in the development of individualized courses and topics; a variety of applications of individualized learning in both formal and nonformal educational programs; computer applications and assistance for new users; dissemination of materials for teachers; computer equipment selection; research on various uses of the computer; and the impact of the microcomputer, including a review of current users, software exchanges, hardware system trends, and examples of specific applications.
