The unit is designed for presentation to gifted junior and senior high students interested in aesthetics. The orientation is to familiarize students with a variety of arts pieces while exploring related philosophical ideas. Information provided includes a listing of objectives, materials, and ideas for presentation for the following nine subjects: the nature of beauty, the nature and variety of art, the purposes of art, traditional techniques, contemporary techniques, raditional art, contemporary trends in art, and the evaluation of art.
