The document presents a radio script about resettlement programs for contemporary Soviet Jewish refugees and problems and expectations concerning their acculturation and integration into American life. Emphasis is on acculturation and integration in the programs. The concluding section discusses parochial (Jewish) versus public schools, in relation to the benefits obtained by the refugees' children. Public schools are seen as conducive to rapid learning or English and rapid Americanization, parochial schools as teaching and preserving valued Jewish culture. (CK)
