Maferr Inventory of Masculine Values: Specimen Set (and) Manual for the Interpretation of the Maferr Inventory of Masculine Values (MIMV).
Steinmann, Anne G.; And Others
This Inventory is designed to measure male and female self-concepts and perceptions of masculine and feminine values toward the masculine role. It is designed for use with college age and adult men and women. The Inventory consists of 34 statements expressing a value judgment related to men's activities and satisfactions. The purpose is to distinguish between family or home oriented men (liberal), and self oriented men (traditional). The basic use of the instruments and the data generated is to present overall scores for comparative analysis of responses in terms of self oriented or traditional concepts and other oriented or liberal concepts. Developed to parallel the Maferr Inventory of Feminine Values, the items were generated by reversing orientations to male equivalents. Three ways of interpreting individual scores are presented. (GK)
