Data prepared for a study of declining enrollment in 12 school districts in the Grant Wood Area are presented in tabular form under the headings of enrollment, curriculum, personnel, and transportation. Enrollment tables show current enrollment by grade, total enrollments for each school year beginning with 1972-73 and projected through 1983-84, and average daily membership in grades 7-12 for the 1977-78 school year. Enrollments for 18 school buildings show only 1 school above maximum capacity (by 4 students); the range of underenrollment is 10-192 pupils. Curriculum tables show the number of units offered in each subject area at the high school level and the number of students enrolled in specific courses. The personnel section provides a count of personnel in 17 job categories. Transportation tables cover mileage, routes, number of students transported, and costs; yearly per pupil costs are shown to range from a low of $121.89 to a high of $199.25. For 10 of the 12 districts, 50 additional transportation variables are computed (percentage of budget for transportation, cost per mile, etc.); means, standard deviations, and ranges are given for these variables. A list of cooperative activities among school districts includes sharing of athletic facilities and personnel, i.e., physics teacher, vocational agriculture teacher, and special education staff. (JH)
