Project BORN FREE. Career Development Training Models to Reduce Sex-Role Stereotyping in Educational Institutions. Evaluation Report on BORN FREE Videotapes, Training Packets and Selected Workshops.
Warsett, Sue
BORN FREE is designed as a collaborative effort of university-based counseling psychologists and field-site educators to reduce career-related sex stereotyping in 14 educational institutions. This report describes the evaluation of BORN FREE products and includes field testing of the three training packets for elementary, secondary, and higher education/postsecondary levels; field-testing of nine color videotapes; and evaluation of several BORN FREE workshops designed to carry out implementation plans in Project institutions. The report includes a general Project overview and evaluation, an analysis of results of videotape field testing, a description of three print training packets, and results of 29 Project workshops, including a follow-up study of the 1977 Local Summer Institute. Examples of evaluation instruments, materials related to field testing procedures, and a summary table of pre- and post-results of the Local Institute are included in the appendices. (Author/NRB)
