Arizona Business Occupations Competency-Based Curriculum Guide.
Abbott, Gail; And Others
Designed to assist business education teachers of secondary students and adults in updating the business education curriculum in Arizona, this curriculum guide is intended to provide a transition from present courses to programs structured around competency-based instruction. The level of competency needed for specific career clusters and modules of instruction is identified in the guide. It includes revised editions of the typing, shorthand, accounting, data/information processing, word/information processing, record keeping, and applying for a job modules of instruction of the Arizona Business and Office Occupations Curriculum Guide. Each module contains competency goals (task with performance standard), learning activities and teaching suggestions, and criterion-referenced tests, plus a student profile sheet for recording goal completion, and a certificate of competency. New supplementary sections for the teacher on Future Business Leaders of America/Phi Beta Lambda, and on energy conservation are also included along with information on criterion-referenced instruments and on grading.
