This guide to the compilation of a unique resource for the second language classroom envisages the magazine picture as a stimulus to classroom communication because of its association with popular culture, and as an aid in language instruction because of the possibilities of encouraging verbal expression of the situation depicted. Approximately half of the text is devoted to procedures for building and organizing the collection, the other half to the classroom exploitation of the pictures.
