CETA and the Handicapped. A Guide to Virginia Agencies for the Handicapped. To Be Used by CETA Prime Sponsors. Second Printing.
Schexnayder, Deanna
This guide is designed to provide information to CETA prime sponsors in Virginia concerning non-traditional agencies serving the handicapped. Following an introductory section, the first of three additional sections discusses the operation of these private agencies, their traditional funding and referral sources, and how they prepare handicapped persons for employment. The second chapter offers suggestions for negotiating with these agencies. Then, to assist prime sponsors in locating vocational services for handicapped individuals, the third chapter provides a list of agencies and basic information about their operations. An appendix gives examples of programs in which CETA funds have been used to benefit handicapped persons. (LRA)
