A Manual for the Identification and Recruitment of Resettled Migrant Families.
Lewis (D. A.) Associates, Inc., Clinton, MD.
Providing information about where and how to locate and recruit resettled migrants in the State of Delaware for the purpose of enrolling eligible children in the Migrant Student Record Transfer System, this manual provides suggested strategies and extensive information on persons and organizations who might be viable resources for the recruiter. The manual consists of four sections: (1) introduction--objective, methodology, and term definitions; (2) information on agencies, areas, and persons to contact for possible identification of resettled migrants--listings of primary and secondary contacts (agency names, addresses, functions, and comments), agricultural-related industries, and potential resources for mobilizing program support; (3) general comments and recommendations; and (4) plan, strategies, and establishment of an information flow process--suggested list of representative groups for a migrant education advisory board, a one-year plan, the "Identification, Recruitment, and Information Process Manual" (nine steps with specifics on why, how, and who), and five attached forms. The one-year plan includes a Gantt Chart and details what, who, how, when, and applicable attachments for each of 11 steps. (RS)
