Soulard: The Ethnic Heritage of an Urban Neighborhood.
Toft, Carolyn Hewes, Ed.
This report surveys the history and culture of the Germans, Czechs, Bohemians, Slovaks, Lebanese, Croatians, and rural white migrants who settled Soulard, a neighborhood in St. Lcuis, and describes the social organizations, religious activities, and economic patterns of the various groups. An overview of the community as it is today is included, as well as some projections for its future. References, a map of the neighborhood, and photographs are included. (WP)
