This booklet is part of a self-instructional program designed to train public school personnel in how to manage educational projects. It is a condensed version of the lessons on the preparation phase of project management presented in full in module 2 of the program. This booklet focuses on the implementation and start-up activities that must occur immediately after a project has been approved. The lesson identifies and gives examples of major activities involved in preparing to put a project into operation. It also focuses on the implementation of the major components of a project information system, including dissemination and the formulation of a management responsibility chart and an organizational chart for personnel.
