This handbook was designed to assist counselors, teachers, and administrators in using the Career Skills Assessment Program (CSAT) materials and services properly. Part 1 of the handbook, Guide to Use of the CSAP, is primarily concerned with understanding, interpreting, and applying the results of the program. Specific topics discussed in this section include (1) the CSAP: an overview; (2) planning, organizing, and administering the assessment activities; (3) analysis and interpretation of summary reports; and (4) using CSAP in improving career education and career guidance programs. Part 2, Technical and Other Considerations, provides information about psychometric and statistical properties of the measures. Appended material includes specifications outlines and item classification tables, selected bibliography of skill building resources, procedures for performing a classroom item analysis, and a guide for identifying levels of expected performance.
