This summary contains abbreviated versions of 1977.1979 plans of services for children proposed by Illinois human services agencies. The booklet was prepared as a reference document for persons involved in planning sessions of a regional workshop. Contents include excerpts from the text of the Illinois Welfare and Rehabilitation Services Planning Act, excerpts from guidelines put out by the Bureau of the Budget ("Instructions to Agencies of Phase I of the Human Services Plans"), and information on twelve state agencies that include services for children. These agencies are: Commission on Delinquency Prevention, Dangerous Drugs Commission, Department of Children and Family Services, Department of Corrections, Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, Department of Public Aid, Department of Public Health, Division of Services to Crippled Children, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Governor's Office of Manpower and Human Development, Illinois Law Enforcement Commission, and Illinois Office of Education. Included in a summary about each agency is information on its mandate, mission, target problems, services, and directions for fiscal year 1979. (SS)
