A series of 18 fact sheets provide basic information on specific subjects of interest to those working with gifted and talented children. The fact sheets, produced by the Council for Exceptional Children, are in question/answer format and have resource references. Following are the topics of the fact sheets: career awareness for the gifted and talented, the culturally diverse gifted and talented child, developing programs for the gifted and talented, characteristics of the gifted and talented, curriculum for the gifted and talented, evaluation of programs for the gifted and talented, finding funds for gifted programs, forming a local association for gifted and talented education, parents of gifted and talented children, the preschool gifted and talented child, the gifted and talented handicapped, developing individualized programs (IEPs) for the gifted and talented, identification of the gifted and talented, math and science for the gifted and talented child, reading for the gifted and talented, what is creativity, developing a community based mentorship program for the gifted and talented, and creative thinking techniques.
