Proceedings are presented of an Illinois Pre-Employment and Placement Conference which had three goals: to encourage policy-level planning by administration to support programs of placement and pre-employment, to develop staff competencies in the wide range of activities required by staff responsible for placement and pre-employment, and to assure continued exchange of new techniques and ideas among those involved in comprehensive placement services. Abstracts of thiry-five presentations given at the conference are presented.
