Air Force Training for Instructional Systems Development.

Detailed information is provided about the Air Force Instructional System Development (ISD) Model to supplement the 1979 AECT presentation made in New Orleans. Information of interest to instructional systems designers includes (1) a short overview of the Air Force ISD model, (2) an extended example which demonstrates the Air Training Command Technical Training documentation required for entire "career fields" (in which one task is carried from Job Task Inventory through all steps of ISD and ending with an Evaluation Report), and (3) descriptions of an ISD managers course, ISD Technician Course, and Mediated Materials Development Course. Examples of documentation, a course evaluation, and a brief discussion of future trends are included. (Author/JEG)
