The issues, trends, and needs in physical education are discussed in this book; however, its primary thrust is directed toward curriculum improvement. Attention is focused on a number of school and community settings, alternative programs, research and change, student competencies, program content and organization, adapted physical education, and the relationship between program objectives and evaluation procedures.
