Tables present 1977 and 1978 data, collected by the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, that trace the progress of Blacks and other minorities in Florida community colleges. Tables 1 through 3D describe student enrollment in terms of college-level headcount as of the end of the drop/add period, recent high school graduates, and acceptance rate (virtually 100% for all races, though the enrollment rate dropped considerably for all races). Tables 4A and 4B summarize financial aid distribution, while 5A, 5B, 6A, and 6B indicate distribution by race and categories of aid. Tables 7 through 13B present data on associate of arts, associate of science, and associate of applied science degrees, technical certificates, certificates of applied science, and certificates of training; and on the students who earned them. The remaining tables, 14 through 24B, present various data on employees of Florida community colleges, emphasizing minorities and females as percentages of the total; breaking down the information by race, sex, type of employment, length of contract, and whether full-time or part-time; displaying figures for full-time executive, administrative, and managerial employees, for full-time instructional employees, and for all other professional full-time employees; and providing similar information for part-time employees.
