Services for governments and universities of developing countries offered by the Institute of International Education (IIE), an organization that sponsors international educational programs and provides technical cooperation to governments in education administration, are outlined. Degree and certificate programs, special courses, short-term visitors, and internships offered in the United States by the IIE are described. Technical cooperation functions of IIE include faculty recruitment, recruitment of experts and consultants, in-country training programs, seminars and conference management, and purchasing services. Staff training and support services for government programs include consultation and staff-training programs and computer services. (SW)
