North Carolina Black High School Graduates: Their Interest in NCSU.
Dolin, Nancy C.
Determination was made in 1977 of the location of the North Carolina high schools from which black students graduated, the students' plans for postsecondary education, and their interest in and enrollment at North Carolina State University. The report updates a similar report completed in 1976 and is designed to provide information useful in evaluating and planning recruitment of black high school graduates for entry to the college. Maps of North Carolina are included to identify the counties from which a majority of blacks graduate and apply and enroll at the college. Data are presented that compare black graduates with either total or white graduates, and college attendance data are presented for white and black high school graduates for 1973-77. (SW)
