Designed as a 2-day staff development workshop on the individualized education program (IEP), the inservice training package presents an activity-based format on a team approach to the IEP. Facilitator notes, information on materials, sample handouts, transparencies, and evaluation forms are presented for seven units: introduction to the workshop; IEPs - P.L. 94-142 and Section 504; handicapped students in the classroom; steps involved in the IEP process; describing present levels of performance; task analysis and behavioral objectives; and completing the IEP. A listing of approximately 50 materials is included on such topics as appraisal, placement, and monitoring. (CL)
