Reverse Discrimination: Recent Cases.
Steinhilber, August W.
This paper discusses reverse discrimination cases with particular emphasis on Bakke v. Regents of University of California and those cases which preceded it. A brief history is given of court cases used by opponents and proponents in the discussion of reverse discrimination. Legal theory and a discussion of court cases that preceded Bakke follow. Finally, the Bakke case itself is discussed in detail, followed by a statement of the positions taken by the University of California, the U.S. Government, civil rights groups, and Jewish civil rights organizations.
