This handbook is intended primarily to help postsecondary institutions administer the major federal student financial aid programs: Basic Educational Opportunity Grants (BEOG), Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG), College Work-Study (CWS), National Direct Student Loans (NDSL), Guaranteed Student Loans (GSL), Health Education Assistance Loans, and State Student Incentive Grants (SSIG). It may also be used as a reference document by other persons and organizations working to expand postsecondary opportunities for students.
