A theoretical outline for an ideal or constructed type for the concept of "love" is presented. According to the definition presented, there are five basic elements or indicators which are sufficient conditions for the existence of love in its broadest sense: empathy, desire for the presence of the other, sharing, sacrifice and joy. Under sharing, which is the central element in two-way love, there are three stages of development, namely, sharing of social traits, sharing of complementary vital interests, and sharing in terms of the meshing of social personality needs. It is stated that these basic ideas should help individuals to study the phenomenon, to begin to operationalize the cluster of five elements, to notice the indications, and thus to recognize the existence of and even to cultivate genuine love in themselves, in others, and in the members of the community and society.
