This publication presents information on how schools and school districts can save energy. The energy conservation materials contained in this package are organized into two sections. The section titles are: (1) Towards a State Education Energy Policy; and (2) Materials for Distribution to School Districts. Topics presented in the first section include: (1) school finance; (2) the role of state education agencies in energy conservation; (3) state energy conservation action plans for school facilities; and (4) energy conservation in the curriculum. The second section includes an outline for a district-level plan for energy management and a discussion of energy conservation techniques for school transportation operations. (MR)
