Guidelines for the recruitment of foreign students to U.S. schools and difficulties that may be encountered are outlined in this pamphlet. Certain professional obligations are discussed that must be considered before a final decision is made to select and admit more foreign students or to substantially increase the number that is already enrolled. Fourteen steps are outlined for the establishment and/or the enhancement of a foreign student recruitment program. Guidelines for recruitment literature for foreign students and for conducting a foreign student recruitment tour are included. Associations and agencies of interest to institutions, key references for credential evaluations, useful College Board publications, associations of American overseas schools, and other resources are listed.
