Riding the Metro.
Carlile, Jan
This self-contained unit on the Paris Metro is intended for beginning students of French. The introduction to the teacher specifies the general goal (to be able to use the Metro for transportation), specific learning objectives, equipment needed, and the evaluation procedure. The student's learning activities are divided into four parts and contain seven written self quizzes and a final comprehensive quiz to be administered by the teacher. By studying the illustrations and explanatory material and completing the learning activities as directed, the student is expected to be able to find a Metro station, buy the appropriate ticket, use a Metro map and understand directional signs in a Metro station.
