Context Evaluation of Individualized Educational Programs in an Urban School District.
Reisman, Karen Cortell; Macy, Daniel J.
Individualized education programs (IEPs) for 54 urban special education students (5-18 years old) were rated according to required IEP components and student demographic data. Analysis indicated that IEPs developed by speech pathologists were superior to other IEPs in terms of accordance with federal guidelines. The major shortcoming in IEP documentation was a statement of annual goals and short term objectives. (CL)
